In a videoconference at the 39th session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) Conference, Fattouh called for greater support to end the Israeli occupation.
The Palestinian leader underscored that the continued aggressive policies of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are a major factor in the persistent instability of the Middle East.
The politician accused Israel of violating international law and the rights of the Palestinian people.
He asserted that the occupation, the policies of imposing “faits accomplis” on the ground, and colonial expansion are a direct threat to any opportunity for achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
Wafa informed that Fattouh reiterated the Palestinian rejection of any violation of the sovereignty of Arab nations and the need to adhere to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.
