CUPET denounced these actions being unjust and arbitrary, as they not only limit access to financial and technological resources essential for the industry’s operation but also seek to exacerbate the energy crisis and restrict Cuba’s economic development.
Despite the imposed obstacles, the Cuban oil workers ratify their commitment to defending the interests of the island’s people, as well as continuing to work to guarantee the continuity of essential services for the country.
The company stated, “No external sanction could break the will of our workers or stop our mission to serve Cuba with transparency, responsibility, and discipline.”
The message noted that CUPET’s strength lies in the unity and dedication of its workers, who have showed their ability to face difficulties with creativity, efficiency, and a sense of social responsibility.
The oil company’s text added, “We call upon our workers to maintain cohesion, discipline, and efficiency in every task, aware that every action taken in wells, plants, and oil facilities is a direct contribution to the resilience and well-being of the people.”
