  When asked about the solidarity of the people toward Cuba, the psychologist and philosopher clarified that this very communication platform is a demonstration of what is possible within societies.

  Despite all its problems, the island continues to be an example of creativity, added Colussi, who mentioned the COVID-19 vaccines and its advanced biotechnology, comparable to or better than that of many capitalist powers.

  On behalf of the Jose Marti Solidarity with Cuba Coordinating Committee, Aura Lily Escobar condemned the blockade and unilateral measures implemented throughout this period as immoral and crimes against humanity.

  The reasons for the U.S. actions are unacceptable because the island is a promoter of peace, stated the former member of the Central American Parliament.

  “We stand in solidarity based on a fundamental human principle, because we have seen that the extortionate and illegal measures against Cuba cause suffering above all to ordinary people,” Escobar emphasized.

  There is no drug trafficking in the Caribbean nation, nor the violence seen in other areas, including those under U.S. control.
