Hanna wrote on his Facebook profile that the West Bank has become a vast prison due to the escalating violence in that country.
The cleric cited as an example the recent attacks by Israeli settlers on the Christian village of Taybeh.
He underscored that such attacks also extend to the vicinity of St. Barbara Church in Aboud and other areas of the West Bank, where “settlers roam through villages, camps, and cities terrorizing Palestinians and keeping them in a constant state of fear.”
The archbishop criticized the expansion of Israeli settlements and the increase in land expropriations in the territory, as well as the construction of several outposts.
Hanna warned that the current events raise serious doubts about the future of the Palestinians in the absence of any political horizon.
