Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif noted that both sides reached a peace agreement, the official signing of which is scheduled in Switzerland, following several weeks of diplomatic efforts and international mediation.
Sharif noted that the agreement establishes an immediate and permanent ceasefire in all areas of conflict and includes further meetings between the parties to advance the implementation of the commitments made.
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), in turn, confirmed that it has finalized the memorandum of understanding regarding negotiations with Washington and asserted that the agreement calls for an end to military operations, including those on the Lebanese front, as well as the lifting of the naval blockade imposed on the Iranian nation.
The SNSC expressed gratitude for the mediation of Pakistan and Qatar, to whose efforts it attributed the progress achieved in the talks.
