Italy celebrates anniversary of media project supporting Cuba

Rome, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) With a special edition of the ItaliaxCuba media program, the second anniversary of this initiative was held, aimed at combating, with the truth, the disinformation campaigns currently being waged against the Cuban Revolution.

Marco Papacci, president of the Italy-Cuba Friendship Association (ANAIC), stressed in his remarks on the program, the role this news channel plays in the current media battle.

Papacci noted that this is where the importance of ItaliaxCuba, an ANAIC project, lies. Its first broadcast on YouTube and other social media platforms took place on June 14, 2024.

During that broadcast at https://www.youtube.com/@italiaxcuba, a tribute was also paid to Che Guevara on his 98th birthday, as well as the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina, which will celebrate its 67th anniversary on June 16.

(ICAP), and Damian Delgado, political advisor at the Cuban Embassy in Italy and second chief of the diplomatic mission, who acknowledged the importance of the initiative, participated in the special program.

Also included were Walter Persello and Maria Merlini, directors of the ANAIC; Prensa Latina’s correspondent in Italy, Oscar Redondo; and Indira Pineda, representing associations of Cuban residents in Italy, among others.
