In a message posted on its Telegram account, the solidarity organization indicated that the countdown to this event has begun, following a working meeting with the Cuban Embassy in Caracas.
It specified that this is not just any meeting, but rather “a revolutionary celebration” to commemorate the centenary of the birth of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, the “Giant of History,” it noted.
The Movement announced that, in every working group and agreement, “we carry his example with us, ensuring that this event lives up to his legacy and the resistance of the Cuban people.”
While US government doubles down on its genocidal commitment with criminal measures against Cuba, we redouble our solidarity, it emphasized.
It stressed that this event in the city of Mérida will once again serve to “denounce and combat the criminal economic, commercial, financial, and energy blockade” in place, and demonstrate that the brotherhood between Venezuela and Cuba is indestructible.
“Let’s activate the networks and the territories! 2026 finds us ready and fighting to embrace Cuba and tell the world: Solidarity defeats the blockade, and history will absolve us!” it emphasized.
The event next July will use the hashtags #XVEncuentroSolidaridadCuba, #100AñosConFidel, and #CubaNoEstaSola.
