In meeting the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed her deep gratitude to the Movement for the numerous expressions of support and solidarity provided to the country, especially during these times.
She noted that the difficult circumstances facing the nation stem from the unprecedented intensification of the blockade imposed by the United States, and pointed to the most recent measures aimed at cutting off fuel supplies and the threats of military aggression.
The Deputy Minister highlighted the Movement’s ongoing commitment and thanked them for the donations, the initiatives stemming from the recently held National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, and other actions carried out throughout this year in defense of the country’s sovereignty.
Through its account on the social network X, the Cuban Embassy reported that the participants reaffirmed their affection and gratitude toward Cuba for all it has given to the world, as well as their commitment to continue strengthening solidarity.
They also expressed their desire to continue supporting the Caribbean nation’s struggle in defense of its independence, sovereignty, and right to freely build its own social project.
Among this year’s activities are 100 events to commemorate the centennial of the birth of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, to be celebrated on August 13.
