India meets with BRICS national security advisors

New Delhi, Jun 23 (Prensa Latina) Indian National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and senior officials from Iran, Brazil, South Africa, and Ethiopia, on the sidelines of the ongoing BRICS meeting.

In the meeting with Wang, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), they analyzed the recent developments in bilateral relations and verified the progress toward gradual normalization.

Doval also spoke with Ghadir Nezamipour, Deputy Secretary for Defense Affairs at Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), about the current situation in the Middle East, cooperation within the BRICS platform, and the ties between their countries.

In a conversation with Brazil’s Secretary of Multilateral and Political Affairs, Carlos Cozendey, cooperation between the two nations within the bloc and bilateral ties were discussed.

Ajit Doval also met with Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, Minister in the Presidency of South Africa, with whom he explored specific areas of cooperation for development between the two countries and exchanged views on current regional and global events.

In a meeting with Million Lema Tadesse, Executive Director of Analysis at Ethiopia’s National Intelligence and Security Service, areas of collaboration to strengthen and deepen the strategic partnership between their nations were explored.

India is hosting the BRICS NSAs meeting, which addresses issues related to the non-traditional challenges facing the world today.
