In his message posted on the social network X, the Cuban president highlighted that Cuban healthcare personnel are actively cooperating in assisting the victims, as part of the collaboration between the two countries.
Venezuela’s interim president, Delcy Rodriguez, reported that an initial fund of $200 million has been activated for the reconstruction of homes and hospitals.
She added that another special fund and lines of credit will also be created to address the situation.
Rodriguez asked private business owners to contact the authorities to rent heavy machinery to expedite debris removal.
International rescue teams coordinated by the United Nations are arriving in the country.
An ecumenical prayer service for the rescue of trapped citizens will be held at 7 pm (local time).
In the nation, the Contingency General Staff remains in effect, and the network of health centers is active to care for those affected.
“We will emerge stronger and more united than ever,” the interim president affirmed.
