Cambodia and Cuba launch unprecedented education cooperation

Phnom Penh, Jun 26 (Prensa Latina) Cooperation in education between Cambodia and Cuba is now stronger, following the launch of an unprecedented project between higher education institutions from both nations.

The Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the “Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz” University of Camaguey and the “Enrique Jose Varona” University of Pedagogical Sciences of Havana.

RAC Dean Sok Touch underscored at the ceremony his satisfaction at initiating an unprecedented cooperation project between Cuba and Cambodia.

The prestigious academician also referred to the several advantages this new alliance will bring to the advancement of several social and economic sectors in this nation.

Cuban Ambassador to this nation, Milena Zaldivar, praised the event as a new milestone in bilateral relations, reinforcing the commitment to deepen their historic and special ties.

Sok Touch and Zaldivar, representing the deans of the University of Camaguey and the University of Pedagogical Sciences of Havana, signed the official documents.
