The forum will mark the end of Paraguay’s pro tempore presidency and its transfer to Uruguay, which will lead the bloc for the next six months.
The agenda includes discussions on technical aspects of the provisional entry into force of the European Union (EU)-MERCOSUR trade agreement, which came into effect on May 1.
The MERCOSUR governments have not reached an agreement to date on the quota percentages established by the treaty signed with the EU.
The summit will review progress in trade integration and the agreements with Singapore and Canada.
