Even this Tuesday, drones from Tel Aviv were circling the village of Daraa, located near the Syrian-Jordanian-Palestinian border triangle, according to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, which strongly condemned the incursion that displaced hundreds of residents and resulted in the arrest of nearly 50 people taken to an unknown location.
These actions is a clear violation of the sovereignty and unity of the Syrian Arab Republic and contravene the UN Charter, the statement emphasized.
It also reported, based on eyewitness accounts from the scene of the attack, that the artillery bombardment was followed by strafing from attack helicopters and the entry of infantry soldiers.
Egypt reiterates its firm rejection of any violation of the sovereignty or territorial integrity of Arab states and renewed its full solidarity with Syria, reaffirming its support for all efforts aimed at preserving the country’s unity and sovereignty, the statement adds.
