The statement affirms, “Such a White House’s criminal policy is one of the most prolonged forms of pressure in contemporary history against a nation striving for the well-being of its people through sovereign development, and causes serious social and economic damage by affecting access to essential resources under conditions of constant hardship for the population.”
The text warns that the intensification of these reprisals, boosted by aggressive sectors of US politics, seeks to deepen the complex situation the Cuban families are facing through restrictions related to fuel, energy, supplies, trade, and distribution.
The anti-fascists believe that with this strategy, the administration of US President Donald Trump intends to stifle the Cuban economy and create a social crisis as a justification for further pressure and direct intervention.
The Bolivian anti-fascists express their absolute rejection of the Pentagon’s threats of military aggression against the Republic of Cuba and denounce before the peoples of the world that this path of force is being used in the face of the failure of all forms of harassment used for more than 60 years without undermining the independence, sovereignty, and will of the Cuban people.
