The meeting focused on the roadmap for implementing the second phase of the peace plan negotiated last October by Egypt, Qatar, Turkiye, and the United States.
The first phase, currently underway, is facing serious obstacles posed by Israeli troops occupying 60% of the Palestinian enclave, including constant military attacks against civilians and restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian aid, among others.
The Egyptian delegation was headed by the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Hassan Rashad; the Turkish delegation by the head of the National Intelligence Organization, Ibrahim Kalın; and the Hamas delegation by Khaled Mashal, Khalil al-Hayya, and Mohammed Hassan.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with what they described as “positive results of the meeting,” according to statements to the press.
