“Without a doubt. We are a Union State, we are military allies. And anyone who speaks of the possibility of any kind of armed operation against Belarus must clearly understand that they will face a joint response from our two allied states,” the senator told the news agency TASS.

Previously, the leader of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, demanded that Minsk halt the construction of border military infrastructure.

Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Sekreta described these threats as an attempt to boost the increasingly low popularity of the Ukrainian leader.

Meanwhile, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov pledged Moscow’s full support to the neighboring republic to repel any attack.
