The military institution specifies that between January 1 and June 30, some 63,993 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over Russian territory, 7,832 in June, 14,195 in May, 11,211 in March, 9,372 in April, 5,989 in February, and 5,394 in January.
The Ministry also noted the casualties suffered by the Ukrainian army during the same period.
Between January 1 and June 30, personnel casualties reached 223,290. Some 41,397 were recorded in June, the enemy lost 39,060 troops in March, 38,737 in January, 34,962 in May, 34,579 in April, and 34,555 in February.
President Vladimir Putin called last week for the continuous improvement of Russia’s air defense system, taking into account the supply of Western weaponry to Kiev.
