The therapy combines the innovative vaccine with modern immunotherapy and is aimed at adults aged 18 years and older diagnosed with stage IIIB-IIID melanoma who have metastases in lymph nodes of the neck, groin, or armpit.
The protocol includes a complete examination, biopsy to manufacture the individual vaccine, treatment with pembrolizumab during vaccine production, surgery to remove metastases, and combined adjuvant therapy.
The Blokhin Research Oncology Center stated that the patients must have primary metastases without prior systemic treatment and without involvement of internal organs.
