Hossein Karmanpour, head of the Ministry of Health’s Public Relations Center, announced the figures in a post on the X platform, explaining that the United States launched attacks against five Iranian provinces between Wednesday and Thursday.
“So far, 14 people have died and another 78 have been injured in the attacks,” the official stated. He noted that 47 of the injured remain under hospital treatment.
On Thursday, the United States announced it had launched attacks on Iran for the second consecutive day, while Tehran declared it had responded with missile strikes against US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.
US Central Command stated in a release that its forces struck approximately 90 Iranian military targets.
The targets included air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone depots, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along the Iranian coast.
