Speaking to *Noticias Caracol*, the future official asserted that the next administration’s priority will be to maintain ties with nations that share the new executive branch’s vision of “Western values,” noting that maintaining relations with those who do not align with the new leadership would amount to legitimizing forms of government they outright reject.

  Regarding Venezuela, he stated there would be “constructive relations, focused on creating wealth for both countries and resolving border issues.”

  Bula also announced that Colombia’s participation in multilateral bodies—such as the United Nations and the Organization of American States—would be reviewed.

  “What we are going to do is a very, very thorough and rigorous analysis of our relationship with each international organization. It is not about abandoning the international community, but rather reviewing existing, active agreements, and ensuring—based on that rigorous analysis—that everything serves our national interest,” he told *Blu Radio*.

  He pointed out that the country would assess whether ties with specific UN agencies are in Colombia’s best interest, describing the process as a cost-benefit analysis.
