This reiterated support confirms the isolation of a policy that, for over six decades, has sought to subjugate the Cuban people through economic strangulation, it noted.
Such actions violate fundamental principles of international law, state sovereignty, and the right of peoples to freely determine their own destiny, the country’s historic leftist group pointed out.
For Latin America and the Caribbean, Cuba represents a historic benchmark of dignity, resistance, internationalist solidarity, and the defense of self-determination, the text asserted.
It called upon democratic, progressive, grassroots, and leftist forces in Guatemala, Latin America, and the world to strengthen solidarity with the Cuban people.
It also urged the defense of the principles of self-determination, cooperation, and the construction of a more just international order based on the sovereign equality of states.
