Cuban lawmaker praise solidarity with social project in Panama

Panama City, Jul 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuban lawmaker and president of the Quisicuaba Community Sociocultural Project, Enrique Aleman, highlighted the expressions of solidarity and support received in Panama for this initiative—a labor of boundless love, he emphasized.

Aleman—who is also a physician and coordinator of the Platform for Interreligious Dialogue in Cuba—shared the key results and future plans of this renowned sociocultural, community, and religious institution during a meeting with members of the Cuban state mission, Cuban residents in Panama, and representatives of solidarity organizations.

In this regard, he noted that the initiative runs over thirty social programs aimed at caring for the elderly, the homeless, patients with chronic illnesses, vulnerable children and adolescents, pregnant women, and low-income families.

Among the project’s key initiatives, he mentioned the Assisted Living Camp and Center designed to provide comprehensive care, rehabilitation, meals, psychological support, and social reintegration activities for individuals with special needs.

The legislator also highlighted Quisicuaba’s new plans to expand its satellite centers to the eastern provinces of Holguin and Guantanamo, as well as to strengthen health services, community care, and support for minors and other vulnerable groups.

Speaking to Prensa Latina, Aleman described the reception he received during his stay in Panama as extraordinary and highlighted the spirit of brotherhood shown by lawmakers, solidarity organizations, and representatives of various religious denominations.
