Cuba’s FM blames US for outage of Electricity System

Havana, Jul 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez stated that the latest disconnection of the National Electric System (SEN) is a direct consequence of the energy blockade and the intensification of the United States' embargo against the island.

In a message posted on the social network X, Cuba’s top diplomat maintained that this policy is a form of “collective punishment against the Cuban people,” noting that the US government is pursuing this strategy with the aim of “destroying the Cuban Revolution.”

Rodriguez further assured that the Party and the Government are continuing their efforts to restore the National Electric System’s operations.

“Our Party and Government, together with the dedicated electrical workers, will continue working ceaselessly to restore the SEN and gradually improve it,” the foreign minister stated in his post.

The latest National Electric System outage caused service disruptions in various parts of the country, while competent authorities continue efforts to restore the system.
