At the third high-level meeting of that branch of the intergovernmental bloc, held in the Indian city of Nagpur this weekend, a final declaration also established joint work on urban mobility hubs, as well as collaboration on logistics supply chains and the BRICS rail research network.
Authorities from India, which holds the BRICS pro tempore presidency this year, noted that there was consensus and a participatory approach that allowed for a declaration reflecting the collective commitment in all priority areas, following deliberations based on mutual respect, equality, and consensus.
Regarding the outcome, New Delhi expressed its gratitude for the constructive participation and valuable contributions of all BRICS member countries, whose joint efforts enabled the successful conclusion of the meeting.
Indian authorities reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a smooth transition of these initiatives to the next BRICS presidency, which will be held by China in 2027.
