Jordan and Kuwait intercept Iranian missiles and drones

Amman, Jul 13 (Prensa Latina) Jordan intercepted four missiles launched from Iran, while Kuwait reported the neutralization of hostile aerial targets, amid the escalating military tensions between Tehran and Washington.

The official Petra news agency quoted a source from the Jordanian Armed Forces General Command, who stated that air defense systems intercepted four missiles early Monday morning that entered the kingdom’s airspace from Iranian territory.

The source specified that the operation resulted in no casualties or material damage and warned that any attempt to violate Jordanian sovereignty or airspace would be met with a firm response.

For its part, the Kuwaiti Armed Forces reported, in a statement released on the social media platform X, that its defense systems intercepted hostile aerial targets within national airspace.

The institution clarified that the explosions heard in different parts of the country were due to interception operations carried out by the air defense system.

The incidents occurred while the United States continues its attacks against Iran, which Washington justifies as a response to Iranian actions against merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Tehran, for its part, claimed to have attacked US military installations in several Arab countries, while some of those states reported civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.
