Cordero stressed, “In a cordial courtesy visit, I was received by Agha Shahzaib Durrani, Chairman of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Danesh Kumar, Coordinator of the Senate Minority Parliamentary Group.”

The Cuban ambassador expressed, during the meeting, his deepest condolences for the recent victims in Balochistan province due to terrorist attacks.

The diplomat reiterated Cuba’s condemnation and rejection of all forms and manifestations of terrorism, of which the Cuban people have also been a victim.

He took the opportunity to thank Pakistan for its vote in favor of Cuba during the opening of agenda item 38 at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA): “Necessity of Ending the Economic, Commercial, and Financial Blockade Imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.”

Both sides discussed, during the meeting, matters related to the country, as well as issues concerning security and stability in the Gulf region and international affairs.
