According to MINSA, the donation represents an investment of 3.3 million cordobas (over 90,000 US dollars).

The equipment is intended to bolster maternal, neonatal, and child care at health facilities in the departments of Jinotega, Madriz, Chinandega, Matagalpa, and Nueva Segovia, thereby helping to improve the quality of services received by families.

The donation includes pediatric scales, blood pressure monitors, thermometers, sterilizers, neonatal resuscitation equipment, childbirth instruments, sutures, wound care supplies, fetal stethoscopes, oximeters, fetal Dopplers, and neonatal resuscitation training mannequins.

In this way, UNICEF and MINSA are strengthening the response capacity of health services by supplying essential equipment for the provision of timely, high-quality care.
