Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian noted in response to a question from Prensa Latina that Washington has maintained a total blockade and illegal sanctions on the island for more than 60 years, a situation that has raised widespread concern in the international community.

Lin urged the United States to heed “the just voice of the international community,” immediately end the blockade and coercive pressure on Cuba, and cease actions that violate the Cuban people’s right to survival and development.

The spokesperson underscored that China firmly supports Cuba in defending its national sovereignty and opposes foreign interference.

Lin also expressed Beijing’s willingness to work with the international community to safeguard international fairness and justice.
