Fidan told reporters at the Przemysl railway station in Poland, before traveling to Kyiv, that he will make an official visit to Ukraine and meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky and other high-ranking officials.
The head of Turkish diplomacy explained that these contacts are part of Ankara’s efforts to support a negotiated solution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The foreign minister remembered that Turkiye hosted several rounds of talks between representatives of Moscow and Kiev in Istanbul last year.
Fidan expressed his confidence that the visit would contribute positively to the ongoing efforts to achieve a cessation of hostilities.
