Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar coordinated their positions during a meeting in this city.
Both sides expressed concern about the deteriorating regional situation and urged all parties involved to cease hostilities, overcome difficulties, put an end iinterference, and re-establish contact and negotiations immediately. Wang affirmed that the first-phase memorandum of understanding reached between the United States and Iran represents a significant achievement of the negotiations and the joint efforts of the international community.
The Chinese foreign minister underscored that Pakistan played an indispensable role in the coordination and mediation efforts that facilitated this understanding.
Dar outlined the recent efforts undertaken by Islamabad and thanked Beijing for its understanding and support, while reaffirming Pakistan’s willingness to continue boosting negotiations.
China and Pakistan maintain close diplomatic coordination on key regional issues and have repeatedly advocated resolving this matter through talks and political channels.
