The session, moderated by journalist Ruben Ricardo Infante, eased the exchange with creators such as Alexander Dieppa, Rolando Almirante, Damian Perez Tellez, Raul Ernesto Gutierrez, and Ananda Oliva.
The gathering took place within the framework of the Gibara “Low-Budget” Film Festival, which brings together creators from some 20 countries.
Dieppa highlighted the national premiere of the documentary *En nombre del amor* (In the Name of Love)—a work developed at the International Film and Television School (EICTV)—which addresses the universal issue of caring for the homeless, drawing on experiences at the Quisicuaba center.
For his part, Almirante detailed the production process of his film *Mijain*, a humanistic look at the life of multi-time Olympic champion Mijaon Lopez as he prepared for the Paris Summer Games.
Meanwhile, Perez Tellez outlined the details of his self-produced film *Abandono* (Abandonment)—which tells the story of the drama of emigration and maternal resilience—following its competition at the Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.
Finally, Gutierrez and Oliva shared the technical and personal complexities involved in filming *Nommal*, a project that emerged from a process of personal growth and was supported by filmmakers from Chile and the United States.
