“The Cuban people have the right to live in peace, harmony, and with human dignity,” Ngurare emphasized in his address at the 3rd United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Initiative, which concludes in Luanda this Friday.
The prime minister expressed four points at the event’s opening session that he believed the meeting should consider.
First, the United Nations Charter and international law must remain the cornerstone of relations among States.
Secondly, the official mentioned that Namibia remains steadfast in its defense of the right of peoples to self-determination and, in this regard, ratified its support for the Caribbean nation and the Palestinian people, who deserve a lasting and just solution based on the United Nations resolution and the establishment of two states with equal rights.
Thirdly, he noted that sustainable peace can be achieved through the meaningful and full participation of women in the processes, and therefore, called for greater action in this area.
Finally, Ngurare affirmed that multilateralism and international law are under threat.
