Speaking to the press, the spokesman stated that Russia does not accept accusations regarding its involvement in Washington’s internal affairs and did not influence the US elections in any way.
“We reject all accusations; we reject them categorically,” he declared.
He also added that Moscow has never interfered in the politics of other countries and expects the same treatment.
Previously, the US president identified several countries—including Russia, China, Iran, and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea—as potential threats to the country’s electoral system.
Peskov noted that all investigations conducted by Washington “concluded that Russia had not influenced the US elections in any way.”
Republican Donald Trump lost the 2020 election to Democrat Joe Biden. At the time, Trump, who was completing his first term, claimed that the election results had been manipulated by the Democrats.
