Meanwhile, filmmaker Aldo Daniel Luberta shared details about “Tres Tres Tres,” a 2D work based on *The Divine Comedy* that pays tribute to the animation studio tradition of the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC).

In the transmedia category, “Titoverse: Genesis”—the first chapter of a series spanning video games and literature—stood out. Its director, Daniel Martin Subiaut, stated that the production aims to establish homegrown Latin American superheroes as an alternative to foreign models.

The fiction showcase included “La flor de Prángana” by filmmaker Jorge Molina, as well as the short films “Te doy mi voz” and “La lata” by filmmaker Maria Karla Recio; these were shot on mobile phones with low budgets, serving as a testament to community spirit.

Finally, director Pablo A. Tonatiuh Alvarez discussed the challenges involved in his feature film “La llamada,” reaffirming the complexities of independent filmmaking and the importance of the Gibara festival in completing the communication loop with audiences.
