The Cuban Embassy noted on X the participation of the Deputy Head of Mission, Ambassador Johana Tablada; the Consul in Mexico City, Mabel Arteaga; the Tourism Counselor, Aleinor Zerquera; and other officials.

As part of the visit, a mobile consular service was held “with the aim of bringing consular services closer to Cubans residing in Puebla and nearby states, saving them from having to travel to the capital.”

A “fraternal meeting between the Cuban delegation and representatives of solidarity organizations, political forces, businesspeople, and members of the Cuban community residing in Puebla” also took place there, the diplomatic mission added.

During the exchange, Tablada provided an update on the economic and social transformations approved in Cuba, as well as the impact on the Cuban population of the intensified blockade—and, to a significant extent, the energy embargo imposed by the United States.

She thanked Mexico for its steadfast solidarity with the Caribbean nation and called for continued vigilance and mobilization in the face of growing, irresponsible, and unjustifiable threats of military intervention against Cuba—threats that lack even the support of the American people.

As part of the itinerary, Counselor Zerquera met with businesspeople from Puebla interested in Cuba as a tourist destination; the meeting focused on potential cooperation and opportunities to strengthen economic and tourism ties.
