The diplomatic institution stated in a press release distributed by INA that Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, Mohammad Hussein Bahr Al-Uloom, received Iranian Ambassador to this nation, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq.
Both sides discussed the relations between Iraq and Iran, as well as the agenda for the Iraqi head of Government’s upcoming visit to the Iranian capital, the exact date of which was not specified.
They also reviewed preparations for the trip, including the signing of memoranda of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and serving the common interests of both countries.
The visit to Tehran is part of a series of diplomatic efforts undertaken by Al-Zaidi, who traveled officially to Washington on July 13.
