In statements released by “Citizen Power” media outlets under the headline “Together We Make History in Times of Victory,” the leader affirmed that Nicaragua faces this challenge in a world marked by conflict, uncertainty, instability, and a drifting away from peace.
“It is in this world—and no other—that it falls to us, as revolutionaries and evolutionaries, to courageously assume the inescapable responsibility of continuing to build justice,” she stated.
The Co-President emphasized that the country must safeguard stability, security, tranquility, and peace—priorities that, she noted, allow for the continued waging of battles against poverty, destitution, hatred, and constant conflict.
“Peace is our supreme heritage,” she affirmed, highlighting that this legacy is the fruit of the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of Nicaraguans and constitutes a commitment to future generations and families.
Murillo noted that the government is working to create the best conditions for advancing in peace, guaranteeing the rights of all, and overcoming times of hostility, destruction, stagnation, and disunity.
In this regard, she highlighted the importance of strengthening the economy in its various forms, as well as social infrastructure and the pathways of education, health, and production, with the aim of fostering development based on solidarity, complementarity, balance, and justice.
“We’re building, and continue to build—in Peace and Well-being—our horizons of prosperity,” she affirmed.
