“The most significant way to remember those who contributed and sacrificed themselves is to continue preserving the achievements of the revolution, building a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized and happy Vietnam, moving steadily toward socialism,” he said.
In a letter on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Day of the Invalids of War and Martyrs, which is commemorated next 27th, the president insisted that this must be the unwavering promise of the current generation to previous generations.
Thus, he continued, the sacrifices and contributions of our comrades and compatriots will shine “forever in the sky of our Fatherland, guiding the Vietnamese nation into a new era of development”.
In the missive, which published the entire Government Electronic Portal, To Lam expressed his deep respect and infinite gratitude to the heroic Vietnamese mothers, the heroes of the Popular Armed Forces, the Heroes of Labor, the war invalids and the sick soldiers.
He also took the opportunity to thank those participating in the 500-day and night campaign for the recovery of martyrs’ remains.
“I respectfully acknowledge the sense of responsibility, dedication and initial results of the forces participating in the Campaign,” and he patentabed his hope that they will bring back more fallen soldiers to their homeland, their families, and their comrades.
