PIT-CNT President Marcelo Abdala and President Yamandu Orsi met on Tuesday to address the issue.
The Social Dialogue, convened by the government, brought together unions, entrepreneurs, academicians, and social organizations who presented a document to the government with common stances, particularly on the social security regime.
Abdala noted in a press briefing that he brought information to Orsi regarding the changes the Executive plans to implement in the matter, which will be part of a package of bills to be sent to Parliament for the remainder of 2026.
The union movement is concerned about the role of AFAP (Pension Fund Management Companies), whose replacement by a public entity is defended by the PIT-CNT.
