Members of the Colombian Movement of Solidarity with the island, Cuban residents, diplomatic personnel accredited in this country, and other cultural and political figures from the nation will attend the event.
Organizers told Prensa Latina that the event is also part of a series of tributes to honor the 100th birthday of Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro, and will serve as a platform to condemn the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean nation.
Prominent figures from Cuba, such as Fernando Gonzalez, Hero of the Republic and president of the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP), are expected to participate via videoconference.
The meeting features the screening of videos about the Cuban Revolution, performances by declaimers, and musicians to celebrate Cuban culture and the bonds of brotherhood between the two nations.
