Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani addressed the issue during telephone conversations with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan; Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser of the United Arab Emirates, Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to separate statements from the Qatari Foreign Ministry, the calls focused on recent regional developments, diplomatic efforts, and joint coordination to contain the escalation.
The parties also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation.
Al Thani emphasized the need for all actors to remain committed to dialogue and diplomacy and to abide by the terms of the memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran.
The Qatari foreign policy chief noted that implementing the understanding would contribute to preserving regional security, protecting gains already made, and consolidating stability.
A cautious calm has prevailed since last Friday, following the entry into force of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran after nearly two weeks of military escalation.
