Such a survey places Lula leading the race against all his possible opponents and confirms a trend from other recent polls, when there is little time left for the official start of the election campaign.
Lula obtains 45.2 percent of the vote intention in the first-round scenario, followed by Senator Flavio Bolsonaro of the Partido Liberal (Liberal Party-PL) with 39.1 percent.
Further behind are former Goias Governor Ronaldo Caiado with 5.4 percent, entrepreneur Renan Santos (3.4 percent), former Minas Gerais Governor Romeu Zema (2.8 percent), and entrepreneur and writer Augusto Cury (2.1 percent).
The AtlasIntel/Bloomberg poll was conducted from July 25 to 28 using digital recruitment, with a national sample of thousands of voters and a margin of error of approximately one percentage point, according to the methodology released by the company.
