The political organization, in a statement released in this capital, described as unfounded the accusations made by the EU regarding an alleged deterioration of fundamental rights in Nicaragua and affirmed that this stance reflects a manifestation of “neocolonialist imposition.”

The party noted that it shared the position expressed by the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity in the official release issued by the Nicaraguan Foreign Ministry on July 24, and pointed out that no country should impose political models or standards of democracy on other nations.

It also maintains a cooperation alliance with the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN), strengthened after the signing, in April of this year, of an Interparty Cooperation Agreement to boost dialogue and coordinate positions on international issues.

Both political organizations defend the construction of a multipolar world order based on respect for the sovereignty of States and the right of each people to freely decide their development model.
