The agency also described such a scenario as unrealistic and reiterated that a total closure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium was never under consideration.
Furthermore, the statement notes that the CPC had merely temporarily suspended pipeline operations. However, the process of receiving oil from shippers and filling storage tanks is proceeding normally.
It was previously reported that the CPC had temporarily halted oil pumping due to drone attacks. Subsequently, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy announced the resumption of crude oil shipments at the Novorossiysk maritime terminal.
In late July, a Ukrainian attack drone struck a tanker at the consortium’s terminal pier.
