Vietnamese Publisher releases *Selected Works* of Fidel Castro

Hanoi, Aug 5 (Prensa Latina) Vietnam’s "The Truth" National Political Publishing House has completed the printing of 3,000 sets of *Fidel Castro Ruz: Selected Works*, announced its director and editor-in-chief, Vu Trong Lam, during a ceremony in Hanoi.

This publication represents a new expression of the firm commitment to preserve, strengthen, and project the enduring values of traditional solidarity, special friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba, Trong Lam added.

“The special affection Fidel Castro always held for Vietnam has been a powerful source of inspiration for successive generations of leaders… to continue strengthening… the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries,” he emphasized in the presence of Cuban Ambassador Rogelio Polanco and Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Propaganda Commission.

Regarding the distribution of the publication—produced in cooperation with the Fidel Castro Ruz Center—he stated that some sets have already been sent to Havana for official presentation at the First International Colloquium “Fidel: Legacy and Future,” scheduled for August 10–13.

Ambassador Rogelio Polanco stated that the completion of the collection’s printing marks a political, historical, cultural, and publishing event of immense significance.

He affirmed that the printing of the first Spanish-language edition of *Fidel Castro Ruz: Selected Works* in Vietnam is highly valued, as it represents—he noted—an invaluable gesture of brotherhood from the Vietnamese Party, State, and people.

Amid the intensification of the U.S. blockade aimed at suffocating the Caribbean nation, the publication of this collection in Vietnam stands as a new demonstration of the unwavering solidarity of President Ho Chi Minh’s beloved homeland with Cuba, Polanco noted.
