Sarea said the operation is part of actions aimed at disrupting Saudi Arabian maritime navigation and reinforcing the blockade announced by the Houthis against that country.

The spokesperson noted that this attack brought to eight the number of Saudi oil tankers targeted by the group since that naval campaign began on July 22.

Sarea warned that the group will continue and intensify attacks on Saudi oil tankers in that area.
