Known as the “Alliance for the Free and Secret Vote,” the initiative brings together the Superior Electoral Court, the Superior Labor Court, and the Labor Prosecution Service. Its aim is to raise public awareness regarding this illegal practice and reinforce citizens’ right to vote without pressure or intimidation.
Under the slogan “I Decide My Vote” (*En mi voto mando yo*), the campaign will be promoted during the 2026 electoral process through audiovisual materials, digital publications, and awareness-raising activities aimed at workers, employers, public institutions, and private companies.
Its goal is to warn against various forms of political coercion in the workplace and to foster a culture of respect for freedom of choice, according to media outlets such as Agência Brasil. Authorities noted that electoral harassment occurs when employers, supervisors, or other individuals use their position of power to influence workers’ political decisions.
Conduct considered improper includes threats of dismissal, promises of workplace benefits, demands to participate in campaign events, pressure to reveal one’s vote, and any form of discrimination based on political preferences.
During the launch of the campaign, officials from the participating institutions emphasized that voting is a free and secret constitutional right and that no employment relationship may be used to influence citizens’ political will.
