The agreement was signed in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Turkiye’s Presidency Directorate of Communications reported that Erdogan and Sharif were received by Mohammed bin Salman at Al-Safa Palace in Mecca, where the three leaders held official talks.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed relations among Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan, as well as various matters of common interest.
According to the statement, the agreement reflects the three countries’ commitment to reinforcing collective security, promoting regional and international peace and stability, and advancing toward a secure and prosperous future.
The statement noted that the pact is grounded in the historic relations among the three nations, bonds of Islamic solidarity, shared strategic interests, and long-standing defense cooperation.
The agreement aims to strengthen collective deterrence capabilities against any form of aggression and establishes that an armed attack against any of the three countries will be considered an act of aggression against all of them.
It also provides for the expansion and development of defense cooperation across various areas.
The parties emphasized that the understanding seeks to contribute to regional security and stability through enhanced strategic and military coordination.
