The plant, with an installed capacity of 120 megawatts, was built near the border with China and is equipped with a tracking system that increases production by up to 25 percent.
It will reduce CO₂ emissions by 109,000 tons annually.
With the plant’s commissioning, the total solar generation capacity in the Zabaikalsky Krai power grid has reached 280 megawatts, equivalent to 15 percent of the region’s total installed capacity.
