Russia to toughen actions against Ukraine, Lavrov announces

Moscow, Aug 15 (Prensa Latina) Russia plans to act more forcefully to put an end to Western support for the Ukrainian army without resorting to Kyiv's terrorist methods, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated.

The head of Russian diplomacy told the Vesti agency that Moscow would act much more harshly to destroy everything fueling the Ukrainian military machine from the West.

“We will not stoop to Ukraine’s methods, but we will make ours much more brutal in order to destroy everything fueling Kyiv’s war machine from the West. And we are already doing so. They are already starting to complain,” the minister noted.

According to Lavrov, the Kyiv regime openly boasts about terrorist attacks against Russian civilians. The minister pointed out that, following every attack on civilian targets—such as beaches or student dormitories—Kyiv officials brag about their actions on social media.

Lavrov stated that Moscow had asked the U.S. State Department to comment on reports regarding Washington’s involvement in Kyiv’s attacks on Russian territory.

Lavrov emphasized that Russia does not issue ultimatums but had conveyed several questions to Washington regarding intelligence and U.S. participation in attacks on civilian targets. Moscow is awaiting a response to this request.

Previously, the Foreign Minister demanded that Washington stop supplying weapons to Ukraine. Reportedly, the United States has continued to provide intelligence to Kyiv.
